Ostrea chair

You don’t have to be a Latinist to understand that ‘Ostrea’ translates as ‘oyster’. Designer Matthias De Ferm was probably enjoying a savoury seafood platter when he envisioned the lines of this highly original chair. Moreover, he managed to translate these organic shapes into a chair with exceptional ergonomics. It takes an artist to roll, bend and weld stainless-steel tubes into this extraordinary masterpiece.
